UCO graduate, Rachel Jones Hind gains national recognition for film clip
Rachel Jones, Digital Arts graduate, has received national recognition for a film promoting University Campus Oldham to disabled people.
Rachel, who is registered blind, directed the film as part of her final-year project. The film was produced by students from the Digital Journalism course and other students provided the animation and sound.
TV star Sarah Lancashire is the recipient of University Campus Oldham's Honorary Award
Sarah Lancashire is to become University Campus Oldham's Honorary Doctor of Letters. Best known for her role as Raquel Wolstenhulme in ITV's 'Coronation Street', she has played many parts on television and stage, winning several awards. When she made her directorial debut she received a BAFTA nomination.
Sarah's honorary award will be bestowed at the Awards Ceremony on Thursday 23 July 2009.
Professor Patrick Stewart OBE opens new building at the University Centre Oldham
